Call for Psychologists Specializing in Counseling and Gender Issues
To fill a part-time, fixed-term position lasting one year, with the possibility of renewal.
SAFE SOCIETY is seeking suitable candidates for part-time positions. The psychologist will provide psychological counseling to victims of gender-based violence online, under the supervision of the organization’s scientific supervisor.
Start Date: March 2025
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
What is expected of you:
- Providing counseling to survivors of sexual abuse, sexual harassment, gender-based and/or domestic violence, and any other forms of abuse.
- Collaboration with the organization’s legal department.
- Collaboration with the legal department and psychological supervisor in decision-making and emergency cases.
- Data anonymization, data management, and cooperation with local service providers to ensure the safety of the caller.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Degree in Psychology and a license to provide psychological services.
- At least 1–3 years of experience in counseling and/or providing psychological support.
- Previous experience in a counseling hotline or other support services (online platform or similar) is essential.
- Experience in gender issues and gender-based violence is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in Greek and English, both written and oral.
- Strong knowledge of working with and on digital platforms.
- Proficiency in computer use (Microsoft Office, Google Applications).

- Analytical thinking, planning, and control.
- High adaptability.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Crisis management skills.
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
- A postgraduate and/or doctoral degree in a relevant field will be considered an asset.
